A Brief History of Bennett Books
Bennett Books began in Santa Fe in 1987 when an individual, concerned that Mr. Bennett's works would disappear, privately offered non-interest loans to finance the cost of reprinting four of Mr. Bennett's out of print works. Since 1989 the printing and production costs for Bennett Books' titles have been largely financed by the owner and through the generosity of a few individuals, and with moneys raised from other activities. To date, Bennett Books Publishing has reissued, as new editions, twenty of J.G. Bennett's out-of-print titles and has published under the title of Making a Soul, an unpublished manuscript, and its first book by another author, Allen Roth, Sherborne: An Experiment in Transformation.

The Future
Bennett Books continues to play a role in the bringing back into print all of J.G. Bennett's major works while keeping existing titles in print. This will be difficult without outside support. Interested parties, able to invest or donate toward the production of a title, are needed. For more information please see J.G. Bennett Publishing Fund and e-mail the publisher, or by post:
